sweet sixteen help, i want to have a ” by the beach theme” but not the casual palm trees and beach balls?
My parties in january and my dress is an awkward color , champaign, and so i wanted my theme to be like beachy with aquamarine and champaign colors but not like a beach casual theme with hawaiian shirts and sand buckets everywhere. more along the lines of an elegant look with white lights everywhere and seashells as the centerpeice, but this is a hard theme to coordinate so if you could help me out that would be great =)
you could do a more East Coast Beach party- maybe call it “Night in the Hampton’s” or something. do sand, shells, boating stuff like ropes and anchors, netting, sea glass, pretty rocks. your colors will go perfectly with this. for centerpieces you could get big glass vases- fill with some sand then add some shells to the top and place a white pillar candle in the center, tie some rope around the top or bottom and tie with some sort of boating knot. this way everyone can dress a bit more fancier casual- like polo shirts and khakis
