Mains Sockets and amps?
I have 2 IEC Socket dimming devices (DMX Compatiable) for parcans that both draw 10a each in total. Is it ok to use these both on a double extension lead on a single mains socket? (230-250v)
NO NO NO – your reference to 230-250 volts suggests you are in the UK – in which case your mains sockets are rated to carry 13 amps – two 10A circuits = 20 Amps – you will seriously overload the socket and the extension cable – dont do it.
