A twist of the head will turn it off or on. The body is knurled (has small ridges) which allows a firm grip. Inside, the body is treated with a special material to prevent corrosion, which is common in many old type flashlights.
In this model one will never have to replace the bulb. In addition, extensive testing (50 hours) underwater did not affect its ability to continue operating. This assures the owner that, regardless of any circumstances regarding water, the flashlight will not be affected. This is an excellent feature for people who work where there is a large amount of water involved.
