contact lens red eyes?

i have been wairing contacts for about 6 months, and the first 4 months where going well, then like about 1 week before new years eve my eyes where geting red around the pupil, so i stop wairing them for about 3 weeks, then i tryed them again and my eyes had’ent turn red for about another 4 days!!!
sometimes the red is on the edge of the pupil, other times its red vains all around, and other times it on the edge with vains, i really dont know whats happening,i wair toric lens…oh and today in school my eyes where watery and scrachy and my friend said both eyes where red, so what could it be??? i already went to my eye doctor, she just said to stop wairing them for a while.. could it be a alergy?or dry? also can u tell me how u put on ur lens, cuz i think im doing it the wrong way or something..
thanks!

The main reason could be your eyes are extremely tired. When you’re wearing contacts, and your eyes become red, the first thing to do would be to immediately take off your contacts, and let them soak in their solution for at least 6 hours. This also assures the contacts get clean, in case they’ve gotten dirty. Also, if you have disposable lenses, I can’t stress this enough: make sure you throw away your lenses at the right time! Normally, it’s every 2 weeks. If you are using your contacts longer than 2 weeks, dust and small particles will settle on the lens, and can no longer be cleaned by the solution.

Putting on your lens is very simple. Here’s what I do:
When you have your lens rested on your finger (I keep it on my right index finger), make sure it’s curved upwards. If the top edge of the lens is curved outwards, the contact is inside out, and you’ll need to flip it. If you put a flipped contact in your eye, it can be very painful (but you can also tell, because you won’t be able to see clearly). If the contact that’s on your finger is flipped correctly, use your right middle finger (under the eye), and your left middle finger (on top of the eye) to make your right eye wide enough to pop the lens in. If done correctly, the contact will stick to your eye. Blink a couple times, and it should be settled. For the left eye, do the same thing. (I keep it on my right index finger as well) Make sure it’s not flipped. Once you’re certain it’s not flipped, use your right middle finger (under the eye), and your left index finger under your left eyelashes (it may sound weird but it works). Make your eye wide, and pop the contact in, and blink a couple times. It should be settled. I’ve been wearing contacts for a year now, and have been using this method since.

Hope it helps. Good luck!
