Can I splice one microphone cable into another to merge the two audio feeds?
I want two audio feeds sent to one source (a microphone in jack). Can I just solder two lines together to get one signal, or would that produce garbage?
I suppose it is possible, but you could potentially damage the equipment that way.
You should purchase a proper audio mixer to handle the two mics. If you are connecting the mics to a computer, another option would be to purchase a sound card that is designed to handle multiple audio inputs and use a software based mixer instead.
