VGA to RGB Cable Help?
I Was told to watch movies from my PC on my HDTV that I need an VGA to RGB Cable. I got one, and hooked it up in what looks like the right place. I plugged one side of the cable into my PCs monitor port, and plugged the other side into my HDTVs Component 1 port (Matching the Blue Green and Red Holes with the same colored plugs). I’ve tried unhooking everything else from my Tv as well. But all i get is a blurry purple screen on my HDTV. What did i do wrong? Any thoughts will help, thanks.
You got bad advice – ask for your money back.
VGA to component will work only if your video card supports it. Otherwise you need a color converter box.
Check if your Video card can output YPbPr over the VGA port (rare but possible).
